My wife has a Kirk Frameworks Terraplane that she loves and rides. It was her only custom bike and she purchased it after a motorcycle accident. When she came to Australia, she brought only the Kirk and some favorite parts from bikes gone by, campagnolo record brakes, derailleurs, and a triple from a past touring bike. She sold off or gave away many items, including some favorite Neutron wheels. She likes the old-style silver. When I built this bike, I mined her parts stash to bring some of the old to the new. She had no idea that I was building a bike for her Birthday until I had her sit outside to receive her gift.
The frame is a Manorina with a polished stainless steel fork crown.

Back in the last century I moved my home and workshop to Everton hills and the the bike mechancic/assembly room storage and tools were set up. It was just a temporary lash up job to have some room to do the mechanical assembly work on new Llewellyns and do service work for local Llewellyn owners. I promised myself a more substatial set up with each passing year. 12 years pass by! Mary Ann and I were at the recent Brisbane home show when we came across some cool looking modular work shop benches and drawer units that can be configured into various set ups. Bingo, they looked just the ticket. Two weeks later I press the button and by the end of the week the whole lot arrived flat packed and we set to over the weekend assembling the new benches. Four days pass and it is all up and running and I am a happy little veggiemite.

21 July 2011 Joe finished applying his magic to a Crescendo and a Custodian. We've taken some photos to update the respective pages. The Crescendo page has fresh photos! Here's a sticky beak at the Custodian.

5 July 2011 Back from the backpack trip around Conondale. Weather was bonza!

20 June 2011 My recent shipment of Columbus tubes from Italy included these longer chainstays which I had arranged with Columbus to make in two wall thickness tubes. These allow unrestricted design freedom for frames that require a longer rear wheel base to give correct handling and or correct function to the bicycles. This benefits large frames, randonneur and touring frames, removing restrictions to good design. I am very happy with the versitility these new special.tubes have provided in my frame design and construction.

12 May 2011 Shipped this Crescendo Randonneur to its new owner:

6 May 2011 Shipped this Cadenzia Super Record Road Bike to its new owner:

4 May 2011 My new tubing order arrived from Columbus. If you need XCr Stainless for XL/Crescendo or Cadenzia lug sets, I have the tubes available with the lugs. I also have other goodies including OS and XL spirit for lugs and 460mm long .7 and .8 mm chainstays, good for randos and touring bikes. Contact me for prices.

2/2/2011 I have a new web site!
