Campagnolo equiped bikes can use the head tube mounted gear cable adjusters. No paint damage from the gear cassings. For Shimano equiped bikes the gear cable adjuster bosses are placed on the down tube due to the design of the Shimano brake caliper. {Bad design IMHO}
